CCA Programs

Every CCA member belongs to one of four membership rank tiers. Youth grow through age-appropriate programs, and adults serve as commissioned Rover Officers.

Four programs. One path of growth and service.

B

Beaver Cadets

Ages 4–6

Our youngest Cadet Scouts learn through simple activities, friendship, nature, and service in a Beaver Cadet colony.

C

Cub Cadets

Ages 7–11

Cub Cadets build confidence, useful skills, and readiness for the Boy Cadet troop in a Cub Cadet pack.

S

Boy Cadets

Ages 12–17

Boy Cadets camp, hike, cook, serve, advance in rank, and lead through the patrol method in a troop.

R

Rover Officers

Ages 18+

Rover Officers train, coach, supervise safety, and provide the adult leadership that helps youth-led units succeed.

One connected advancement path

Offices are jobs; ranks are skill advancement levels; awards recognize a job well done, or going above and beyond the call of duty.

Youth members

“Cadet Scout” means any youth member of CCA: Beaver Cadets, Cub Cadets, or Boy Cadets. “Scout” is used in the broad sense for a member of a Scout movement or independent Scout group, including CCA.

Adult members

Adult members are Rover Officers, also called Rovers or Officers. They train, supervise, coach youth leaders, provide resources, and take responsibility for safety.
